Possibilities in Writing
On April 16, 2011, I was privilidged to be the featured author at Longwood University in Farmville, VA. I spoke about the importance of imagination when encountering writing problems. Practice seeing beyond the obvious– commonly referred to as ” thinking outside of the box.”
For example, when I couldn’t figure out how to make my book Human Bridges longer, I introduced a new character named Wise Woman, who had appeared in my previous work. She, in turn, suggested another new character and together they led me to discover a new genre I call synerlit. It’s all about possibilities. The only thing a writer can do wrong is give up on finding a solution.
